Dine Underwater At Real Poseidon In Ahmedabad

Land locked industrial town of Ahmadabad, India gets its first underwater restaurant. It is a water themed restaurant and called as the Real Poseidon. Bharat Bhatt, an Ahmedabad-based businessman is the man behind this unique restaurant. It is built 20 feet below the ground level. Mr. Bhatt and wife Varsha runs this exclusive restaurant.

The underwater Real Poseidon is spread across 3000 sq. ft. It is plushed with 1,50,000 liters of water that is revitalised with a filtration tank. Around 4000 species of fish are sourced from the local markets in Ahmedabad, Rajkot and Vadodara to give its unique underwater appearance. It is 32-seater restaurant and offers multi cuisines to tantalize your taste buds. It is a vegetarian restaurant surrounded by marine species.  Punjabi, Thai, Chinese and Mexican will be plate up in this pure vegetarian place.

Mr. Bhatt said, ““I had been part of building a restaurant back in 2004-05 and had been toying with this idea to float a restaurant with a novel concept since several years. Once we decided on this concept and we were sure it could be done, we started work on it”.

It took several months for finalizing the concept and design with an expenditure of about Rs 2 crore on the construction. Finally after 2 years, the master piece is available for the guest to have arresting dine and drinking experience.

The Real Poseidon is accessible by a stairway to a tunnel-based dining hall which is 1,200 square feet.
