The Stylewhack Team had an opportunity to watch the play Don’t Worry be Happy (DWBH) a few months back. Back then, it was nearing the 50th show and now in August after winning quite a few prestigious awards they are completing 100 shows! WOW! Considering all the glamour and magnanimity of mainstream big screen, this a big feat for a Marathi play trying to make its presence felt amidst big screen giants!

DWBH stillDWBH is a new age story, talking about the lifestyle of a 21st century couple and how detection of PCOD tumbles their whole life upside down! You may think it is a serious play, but the real essence of this play is the light and humorous way in which they have conveyed such a serious and strong message!

The play directed by Adwait Dadarkar and written by Mihir Rajda is the best way to spend 2 hours of your life, getting entangled in the story of Akshay and Pranoti. The favorite onscreen couple, Umesh Kamat and Spruha Joshi have done an exemplary job in the play leaving us gasping for more!

The BIG Milestone

The play not only has entertained the local audience, but went international too with shows performed in Dubai and Singapore. It has also been produced in Gujarati too, spreading the message in different vernacular language. With packed theatres and mesmerized audience, DWBH is a play which is soon going to perform its 100th show on 14th August 2016 in Pune.
