Where it All Started!
Two friends who love cooking decided to do something interesting beyond the mundane cooking. They racked their brains and came up with #KriSriKitchen on Instagram where they challenged each other to go beyond the norm. Thus started the absolutely thrilling journey of KriSriKitchen which reflects the cooking passion of two friends. As you might have guessed, it is the 1st three letters from both their names – Krithika & Sridhar. The next step was to amp up the game and participated in #100happybreakfast challenge. Under this challenge they cooked varied breakfast items for entire 100 days! Beat that!
What All they Cooked?
The list is long and mouth watering! The pictures on their Instagram feed are even more scrumptious! They had samosas, idlis, dosas, upma, sandwiches to name a few household items. They also went astray from the normal breakfast items and prepared bruschettas, potato gnocchi, paneer tikki burgers, bakarwadi, stuffed mushrooms, baked kale chips and the list goes on. For Krithika her favorite dish was ‘Oats Kuzhi Paniyaram’ and for Sridhar it was ‘Phulka with Punjabi Dum Aloo’! Delectable isn’t it?
The Ups and Downs

As you might have figured it out, the task was daunting and had its own ups and downs. The major rejoice was the immense positive feedback they got from their followers on Instagram. It was a great motivation. However the downfall was taking out the time amidst their busy schedules. Keeping up with his work schedule for Shridhar and a mother’s routine for Krithika made it a little arduous for the duo.
The Red Chutney Recipe

So the duo completed the challenge successfully and motivated so many of us! They inspire us further saying, “Our greatest nemesis is always we ourselves, always finding a way to say ‘NO THAT’S IMPOSSIBLE’. Challenge that and push your thresholds, you may surprise yourself.”
This duo also gave us some major friendship goals considering they are not even in the same country and still are so bonded. Just goes to show distance doesn’t matter in treasured relationships! Sridhar taught us that men can cook too and should learn how to cook as it a basic skill.
