2: The Andhra-based protégé of Pullela Gopichand has not only won Macau Open Grand Prix Open three times in a row, but she is also a two-time bronze medalist at the World badminton championship in 2013 and 2014.
3: She is the proud recipient of various awards already in her kitty: Padma Shri, Arjuna Award for Badminton, CNN-IBN Indian of the Year in Sports, FICCI Breakthrough Sportsperson of the Year 2014 and NDTV Indian of the Year 2014 are to name the few.
4: Standing 5 foot 10 inches, this tall lady comes from a family of volleyball players and actually began playing badminton at the age of 8.
