Aanchal Thakur Brought The First Skiing Medal For India

Aanchal Thakur is a 21-year-old girl from Manali, India.  She has now joined the list of the women achievers by winning the medal at an international skiing event for India. Aanchal has made history by bringing the first skiing medal for India.

Aanchal Thakur won a bronze at the Alpine Ejder 3200 cup in Turkey organized by the International Skiing Federation.

She was born on August 28, 1996, in Burua, Manali. Her father Roshan Lal Thakur is the Secretary-General For Winter Games Federation Of India. Heera Lal, a former Olympian is her coach. She also participated in Winter Youth Olympics 2012 held in Austria, and Asian Winter Games 2017 held in Japan.

Her father responding to this achievement described this win as a dream come true moment for every Indian.
