  • 2 1/2 cups corn kernels
  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

Method: Combine corn, green onions, shallot, and garlic in a large bowl. Add beaten egg and toss. Add maida and gently fold. Season it with salt and pepper to taste. Rawa (Semolina) Appe

Method: Mix 3 cups rawa to 2 cups curd and 1.5 cups water in a mixing bowl. Keep aside. Grind ginger, curry leaves, green chillies and cumin seeds and add the paste to semolina mixture. Add finely chopped onion, tomatoes, coriander and salt to the mixture. You may add grated carrot or peas as per your choice. Let this mixture stand for an hour. Heat the appa mold, add oil and add mustard seeds for tempering to each mold. Fill the mold with the batter and cover it with a lid. Cook till the appe are golden brown. Unmold and cook on the reverse side. Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup.

Instant Poha Pakoda
