Padmaavat Movie Review
This movie as we all know is an adaption of the historical story of the Rajput Queen Rani Padmini portrayed by Deepika Padukone and King Rawal Ratan Singh portrayed by Shahid Kapoor who both are the epitome of love. How their life takes a turn and twist when the lustful eyes of Alauddin Khilji, the brutal rulers of the Khilji dynasty portrayed by Ranveer Singh is what you need to be looking for in the movie.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is, of course, the director of larger than life films and this film is yet another proof of his grandeur. The director is very much perfect in his vision and carrying it forward. The movie upholds the glory of the Rajputs. The movie is a visual spectacle like every Bhansali film. Deepika Padukone enacted the character of Rani Padmini in a brilliant way and she looks so very graceful in the role of a Queen. Ranveer Singh has given an award-winning performance in his character while portraying a negative role for the first time in his career. Shahid Kapoor also delivered brilliant performance adding royalty to the movie. Whereas the war scenes seem to be a bit under expected. But on the whole, the movie definitely gives you a great watching experience for sure.
The protests of Karni Sena are meaningless as the movie has got nothing like what they are protesting for.
If you love watching grand scale movies and historical depictions, then go catch Padmaavat.
