PadMan Movie Review
You all must be aware of the fact that this movie is inspired by the real-life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is the real-life Padman. Twinkle Khanna is checking out her luck as a producer for the first time by producing this movie. This movie is based on Twinkle Khanna’s short story from the book the legend of Lakshmi Prasad. Akshay Kumar who is not new in attempting different scripts is trying this bold script this time. Check our Padman movie review here.
A man realizes how women are affected by periods and how they are suffering with their periods. He sets to create history by creating a sanitary pad machine that produces sanitary napkins at low cost. He uses this machine to provide sanitary pads for all those less privileged women of rural India. How an ordinary uneducated villager turns out to one of the top most entrepreneurs in India is what you will be looking forward to in the movie.
Director R. Balki had managed pretty well to put in the real-life story on screen with a few changes. He did a pretty good job in writing and directing as well. Cinematography and editing of the movie are very appreciable. Radhika Apte steals the screen like always. Even Sonam Kapoor makes the best use of her limited opportunity. It may seem difficult to accept Akshay as a person who just got married, but he presented himself so well on screen. It is definitely an empowering film despite a few flaws. Don’t miss to catch up the movie this weekend.
The story of the inspiring human Arunachalam Muruganantham is not being made for the first time on screen, it is earlier made through low budget film Phullu which gathered less attention, I-Pad is also an unreleased film about the same man. But Akshay Kumar starrer movie will definitely reach a wide range of audience.
