The much awaited trailer of Raees is finally out, and we can’t stop gushing over the badass Raees Aslam played by Shah Rukh Khan. The trailer gives us a complete masala bollywood experience with songs, dance, action, heavy dialogues, romance and of course the badshaah Shah Rukh Khan. It takes us back to the 80s era Bollywood, where the film is supposed to be set in.

The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan. Nawazuddin has made a mark quite high up in Bollywood, with his acting prowess. It will be pretty interesting to see the clash between Nawazuddin as the cop and Shah Rukh Khan as the bootlegger. We can already see glimpses of the face off in the trailer with dialogues like

“Ek din naak mein nakel daalke kheench ke leke jaoonga tuzhe yaha se.”

“Saboot Dikhaiye.. Le jaaye. Raees Haazir Hai.”

Mahira Khan looks nice paired opposite SRK. The chemistry amidst all the action is quite refreshing. Sunny Leone lights up the screen when she appears for just a fraction of a second in the trailer. But of course its Shah Rukh Khan, whom all eyes are on in this 2 and half minute trailer. The kohled angry eyes, the spectacles, the pathanis and the beard all add up to the intensity of Raees Aslam. In the trailer launch event he described the character of Raees as,

“Even bad guys can be good.”

The movie is directed by Rahul Dholakia, who has a national award in his kitty for his film Parzania in 2006. Excel Entertainment (Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani) and Red Chillies Entertainment (Gauri Khan) have produced Raees jointly. The film has taken a long time in the making and an even longer time with its release. But looks like it has worked in their favor as this has just taken the anticipation degree to another level.

We wish the team of Raees all the best and are eagerly waiting for the release on 25th Jan.
