Not much time is left for the world wide release of Akshay Kumar starrer Rustom. This crime-mystery is written by Vipul K. Rawal, an ex-navy man himself. The film is based on the real life incident of the Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati. Actual warships are used in the film from the 1950s era.

The film’s trivia is as unique as it gets but the promotions of this film were done in the most out of the box fashion. With Hrithik Roshan’s Mohen Jo Daro releasing on the same day, it was the Khiladi who won the promotion game. Not only Akshay Kumar promoted his film but also his Btown buddies gave us a taste of countdown to Rustom.

Here is how the Btown stars promoted Rustom in their own exclusive way.

Ranveer Singh posted his childhood pic with Akshay, when he was just a fan.

Ranveer Singh also is the king of vintage performances, so he also pulled off Akshay Kumar’s old song,’ Zeher Hai Ki Pyaar Hai Tera Chumma’ in a perfect way.

Akshay Kumar responded perfectly and the two actresses can’t stop laughing after watching the video.

Karan Johar continued the countdown on the third day.

Akshay Kumar’s Holiday co-star Sonakshi Sinha sang the film’s song ‘tere sang yara’ accompanied by drum beats. Now this was a good dual promotion, considering Sonakshi has sung a song in a recent award function!

Fifth day promotions were done by none other than the style diva Sonam Kapoor.

Sidharth Malhotra posted a sweet video with his dog, Oscar. Looks like Rustom got an Oscar approval too.

Varun Dhawan posted a video on his Instagram. We can say he promoted Rustom in Dishoom way, he pulled off Akshay Kumar’s Man Buns avatar from the movie Dishoom.

Your father must be a baker cause you have perfect buns. #rustom gives a #dishoom? 3 days to go

Looks like Akshay Kumar has earned a luxury of friends in Bollywood. No wonder they agreed to put in so much of effort for his movie promotion. Rustom’s Box office fate is not decided yet, but it is already a hit on social media. We are eagerly waiting for the BIG day!
