“It is not picture it is mixture”

This is another must watch movie of year 2015. This is the  story of a simple boy Daanish (Dhanush) who has impaired speech and his biggest dream is to become an actor. To make his dream come true he comes to the city of dreams, Mumbai. With all the luck in his hands he meets up Assistant Director Akshara (Akshara Haasan), where she gets to know that even without his voice he has super talent for acting. With suggestion from her father’s friend who is a doctor, they implant a device in Daanish’s throat, which records voice from ear piece of another person who speaks through this  ear piece and that voice is delivered to the other person. All Daanish has to do is open his mouth and lip sync. Later they tag Amitabh Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan) with Daanish and they become super successful together. But soon with all the success, ego clashes occur but they learn that they are nothing without each other.

One fine day one of the edgy reporters finds out this secret of Daanish aka Shamitabh. Will the reporter expose Shamitabh? What will this mutual team do  in such a situation? Well, to get all these answers you need to watch this movie for sure!

Movie Scan:

R Balki has given us outstanding movies like Cheeni Kum, Paa and with Shamitabh he carries that legacy ahead. With outstanding acting skills of Dhanush and Amitabh this movie goes way ahead. Cinema goes wooo! with Amitabh Bachchan’s voice. After his Bollywood debut in Raanjhanna, Dhanush shows you his new skills as an excellent actor. Direction is superb, movie is not lengthy and the scenes have a mix of emotions as well as humor. Dhanush’s acting as a person with impaired speech is extraordinary. Climax is outstanding and dialogues are superb with one liners that crack the audience.

Best scene:

The most awesome part of Shamitabh is Rekha’s Scene, where she presents an award to Daanish and then there is Amitabh Bachchan’s voiceover and superb flashback of their famous movie Silsila.

Take away note: Must watch movie of the month, this is going to be a bookmark movie of  the year!
