The Accidental Prime Minister Movie Review
This movie as we all might be aware of is based on the book with the same name. The accidental prime minister chronicles former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh’s (played by Anupam Kher) relationship with his media advisor Sanjay Baru (played by Akshaye Khanna). The movie majorly showcased in showing the struggles of Sanjay Baru in his trails to manage Dr. Singh’s public image. The movie also touches a few od UPA Government’s key milestones. Check our The Accidental Prime Minister review to know more on this.
Anupam Kher leads the pack as a submissive Prime Minister who is sworn-in amidst wide-ranging skepticism within the ranks. He delivered an amazing performance that progressively grows on you and gradually evokes you and develops empathy for his character. Kher has managed really well in making his own mark in presenting Dr. Singh’s trademark soft-spoken behavior.
He even received a lot of support from his co-actor Akshaye Khanna who ensured so well and make sure there will be no dull moment in this political drama. He has got an easy charm.
The edit is a bit sketchy. The movie surely lacks in finesse and makes up in being totally on your face.
Bollywood has earlier made many such political complex dramas, The accidental prime minister surely leaves you more entertained than promised.
