Bored of going to regular eating joints? Want to have a niche gourmet experience in the heart of Delhi? We have found a perfect place for get-together, both formal and informal. Trend Bar and Kitchen has changed the way Indian cuisine looks and tastes. Using the art of plating they have transformed the experience of dining to a whole new level. Its a must visit restaurant for foodies in Delhi!!!
On arrival, guests are served a complimentary starter (this starter changes every day), so foodies can munch your way through the menu. Trend has an interesting mocktail menu with specialties from different states of India like Eden Iced Tea, which leaves a strong taste of Himalayan tea in the end. Kokam Sherbet, another mocktail which leaves you mesmerized with a tangy taste from southern part of the country. Though the Falooda 2.0 was delicious, but we feel it would have been a great option in the Desserts section. Trend is awaiting their liquor license and hopefully by this month end their liquor section will be operational. After relishing mocktails, we bet their cocktails will be equally outstanding.
Use Of Liquid Nitrogen Technique
They have a wide range of starters both veg and non-veg. Old recipes molded to suit new tastes are what they specialize at. With concepts like espuma (foam technique), smoke and cyro (liquid nitrogen technique) their dishes endow with an everlasting taste for foodies. The dishes are not only plated beautifully but are equally delectable.
Trendy Veg Starters
Roti Chutney and Achar
Normal Roti Chutney Achar is refurbished and given a new look where khasta naan, missi roti and masala bread are served with motley combination of chutneys like aubergine pickle, fig chutney, mint chutney, peach chutney, onion (Veg options) and kingfish pickle and Chettinad mutton pickle (non-veg options). Another treat for South Indian cuisine foodies is Kanjivaram Idli, Sambhar, Madras Gun Powder. The Idli is super soft and simply melts into the mouth. Achari Dal Parfaot is also a yummy dish which has the correct blend of dal and masala and the crunch. There is enough choice for Italiano fans too with plethora of options on the menu.
Masaledaar Non-Veg Starter
Jack Daniel’s Pork Belly
Do not worry. Trend has something toothsome up their sleeve for die hard non-veg aficionado. Trend’s Jack Daniel Tandoori Pork Belly is not only scrumptious but also is so soft that it melts at the tip of tongue. The flavor is so strong that it will leave a lasting taste on your palate. This dish is highly recommended and is not to be missed.
Signature Butter Chicken
Do not fill yourself with the starters; keep some room in your fast filling belly for main course and desserts. The Seven Grain Khichdi, Paneer Pinwheel with Karela chips is both healthy and really yummy dish. Signature Butter Chicken served with Chur Chur Naan will turn you head over heels. The boneless chicken leaves you craving for more. Apart from Chur Chur naan, you can choose any Indian bread with Butter Chicken. We felt the lip-smacking Chur Chur Naan is in itself was complete for hunger-stuck foodies like us.
Shahi Malai Mille Fuile Tukda
Last but not the least the Desserts. Shahi malai Mille Fuile Tukda, does it not sound different? But trust us it is worth the money. Tastefully presented dessert compliments the meal with panache.
To sum it up Trend will leave a lasting impression on your visual, sensory and taste buds. Soon they are planning to serve Lunch. This place is tastefully decorated, light but happy music makes the ambience perfect for a lovely evening.
