Who else than the first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama can convene the most prolific, empowering and full of inspiration summit for women which speaks everything about itself. The summit which is scheduled to take place the next weekend on June 14 at Washington D.C.
The summit is named as “United States of Women” where the first lady has gathered a mighty group of the most powerful and heavy hitter women who have excelled in their respective fields embarking their impressions well, and strong. Obama posted a small clip on her social media accounts which showcased some famous and essential, renowned faces of empowered women in the world such as Tina Fey, Shonda Rhimes, Christy Turlington, Laverne Cox, and Oprah.
The video comprises many other friends of the famous women of the states such as Meryl Streep, Indra Nooyi, and Kerry Washington can be seen making their pledges towards the Summits agenda. The White House Summit “Today we’ll change Tomorrow” works with an aim to bring together the world’s most influential women from different walks of life to launch this movement and spread the word to aware the women about the present state and acknowledge their contributions in making this world a better place to live.
Here is must watch video:
The Summit aims at the following topics such as Economic Empowerment, Health & Wellness, Educational Opportunity, Violence Against Women, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Leadership & civic engagement. The Summit is all set to be held in association with The White House, together with the Department of State, Department of Labor, the Aspen Institute, and Civic Nation with the additional cooperation from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women, the Tory Burch Foundation, PepsiCo Foundation, and the Ford Foundation.
The stronger side of this Summit is to notice that this is the last year for the first lady Michelle Obama as the United State is all set for their Presidential Elections where among all the speculations the lady herself has conveyed that she has no thoughts about running for the candidacy for the president in the future, she said “there’s no need to become a President to do something good and great for your country and most importantly for yourself”
We wish for the best outcomes and good aura of power and inspiration to be created after the Summit takes place where the powerful women have taken a pledge to “turn struggle into strength”.
