“Sunday ho ya Monday Roz khao Andey”.
Let’s do the eggs-xzperiment (experiment) with egg-ilicious (delicious) dishes this World egg day. In India, there has been a trend following the western culture, yups!! you understood it rightly – Valentine’s day, but when it comes to nutrition the brain comes up with an idea of kachori, samosas for breakfast.
What Is World Egg Day?
It is celebrated all over the world on second Friday of October. Indians are busy in Diwali festivities this year(giggles!!). Well! Well! All over the world egg events are planned to create awareness about the importance of eggs. This not an Easter egg but for real eggs. Many countries plan events stating the importance of eggs, the nutritional value it has and the yummy taste off-course. Be it boiled, scrambled or in sundry forms. This year (2017) it is being celebrated on Friday the 13th; off-course, I am not scaring the devil out of you. History says first egg day was celebrated in 1996, to tell the feeding potential of egg in developed as well as developing nations. Since, then it is widely accepted and has become the tradition.
Nutritional Value of Eggs
It has all vital nutrients to recapitulate organisms’ journey of starting of life. All organisms start as an egg. Please PETA, after reading, do not run after this article to promote veganism. But yes, eating eggs do make your muscles toned and healthy.
Egg contains 75 calories, 7 grams of high-quality protein, 5 grams of fat, and 1.6 grams of saturated fat, along with iron, vitamins, minerals and carotenoids, lutein, zeaxanthines, cholines. These carotenoids are the eyes of the old-age, saves from Macular degeneration. Eggs make one’s immune system strong and healthy.

- The Gulshan Public School, Karachi, Pakistan is generating awareness amongst the younger generation about eggs and its nutritional value.
Go rush and grab an egg meal. Be the smartest and fastest omelette maker. The nutrient should be filled in with snickering in the hustles and bustles.
